Party Cannon have released a new single/video Thirst Trap ahead of their Summer festival appearance. While slightly different from their previous works, this is really good! It’s still extremely heavy, but a lot more groove on this release. The band issued this statement.

Chris “Clankenstein” Ryan (bass) comments: “Old School Death Metal has come back in a big way and while that’s cool and all, I think people have had enough songs about ghouls and angry demons recently – so we’ve gone the completely opposite direction and taken a much more highbrow route by writing a 2 minute goregrind song about being overwhelmingly h*rny. I think what the world really needs right now is a group of men in their 30s to write a song about sh*gging. People are going to get up and do stuff after hearing this and the economy is going to improve, it’s really going to make a difference. While groovy grind has always been part of our sound, we’ve hyper focused on it this time around – fans of Rompeprop, Gutalax, Kaasschaaf, early Carcass and dancing hard will be happy. Don’t worry though, there’s still plenty of ignorant slam riffs, pig squeals and blasting to keep the IQ lowering Party Cannon sound in tact. I don’t use terms like ‘magnum opus’ or ‘the next Stairway To Heaven’, but I think they might be appropriate here.”
Starting next week, Party Cannon will appear at some of the biggest festivals across Europe this summer, before kicking off a UK/IRE tour in September with Nekrogoblikon, Allegaeon, and Grief Ritual; see below for all dates!
